12th April - 9a.m. Fire at no. 4 Brown Street.
Fire & Rescue Service called at 1 a.m. Fire in kitchen.
Mr & Mrs Smith and 2 children: Thomas 10 years, Julie 5 years. All safe - ladder rescue.
Fire & Rescue Service say possible faulty wiring in kitchen.
Mr Smith - “We were very lucky. I’d just bought a smoke alarm and that woke us up.”
Mrs Smith “Children very brave especially Julie to climb down ladder.”
REPORT Damage:- severe in kitchen, rest of house smoke damaged.
