YOUR TASK:
There has been a fire at a large,
local hotel. The fire engines are
on their way and the Police are
controlling the area. It looks as
though it is a big fire and as far
as we know there has been no

loss of life. Full details can only
be obtained from someone who
can get to the fire.
A national television station are
going to cover the fire and so
are the national newspapers.

You are a well known, local reporter.
It is your job to get to the fire and
interview people, getting the full facts
about the fire. You must write your
article and send it in. You can also have
two other people with you. You can
make them your assistants and
they can do whatever you want them
to do. Use a dictionary to help you.

You have to decide how best to cover
this story. It could be BIG. It could make
you into a nationally known reporter.
