RED ALERT - CELEBRATION
Bonfire night is always great fun so long as we remember the importance of safety
Remember: You must never build a bonfire without your carer’s permission.
If they do let you build a bonfire, it is important that you remember the following points:
1. Only build a bonfire in an open
space, well away from anything
that may catch fire.
2. NEVER build a den inside a bonfire.
3. Do not build your bonfire too high.
4. NEVER light bonfires with petrol,
paraffin or spirits.
5. Keep some buckets of water and
a hosepipe, if possible, by the
bonfire in case of emergencies.
6. NEVER throw spray cans or
tyres on a fire.
7. Do not play near bonfires
whether they are lit or not.
8. Check bonfires for pets,
etc. before lighting.
